The floor protection that breathes

Most protection traps moisture against the surface it is meant to protect. New screed, fresh timber and recently laid tile all need to cure, and sealing them under a non breathable layer is how you end up with marking, staining and a callback.

SupaBord is vapour permeable. Moisture passes straight through instead of sitting underneath, so the floor cures as it should while staying covered. It is also spill resistant, so paint, plaster and water on the surface do not reach the floor below.

Australian owned and 100% recycled

SupaBord is an Australian owned brand made from 100% recycled material, and it is recyclable again after use. The packaging is plastic free. For anyone working to a sustainability requirement on site, it is a straightforward answer.

Every roll comes pre-marked with measurements and cut lines, so it lays faster, cuts straighter and wastes less than an unmarked roll.

The SupaBord range in store

Contractor Grade is the heavy duty option and the one most trade customers come in for. 800mm wide, 37.5m long, 1mm thick, covering 30 square metres per roll. Built for commercial and residential sites with heavy foot traffic, impact and abrasion.

Joint Tape seals sheet to sheet seams for up to 90 days. Edge Tape holds edges to floors and walls for up to 150 days. Together with the roll they make a complete system, so nothing creeps, lifts or bunches part way through a job.

What it protects

SupaBord is used over hardwood, engineered timber, vinyl, click laminate, tile, hybrid, polished concrete, carpet, linoleum, VCT, marble and terrazzo. It scores and folds cleanly, so it wraps around stairs, steps and bench tops without needing a second product.

Questions we get asked

Will it mark a finished floor? No. It is breathable, so moisture escapes rather than being trapped against the surface.

How long can it stay down? Through a full fit out. Joint Tape holds seams up to 90 days, Edge Tape holds edges up to 150 days, then it lifts clean.

Can you drive a trolley over it? Yes, on the right grade. Contractor Grade is built for heavy site traffic.

Is it reusable? Yes, depending on its condition at the end of the job.
